Quick-XL
The new way to enter data into Microsoft Excel® spreadsheets.
How it works
Quick-XL lets you work on as many spreadsheets as you wish on a given computer,
all for one low price.
| |
You define the format of each of the columns of your spreadsheet
to Quick-XL using the simple form to the right.
Quick-XL then generates a form that you use to enter the data for
each row of your spreadsheet.
But Quick-XL does not stop there.
Quick-XL has set of special features that simplify the job of entering
information into each field. For example, you can enter today's date into
a 'Date' field by typing just one character, a period (.). From there, you can
enter a plus (+) to increase the date by one day or a minus (-) to
subtract one day from the date. By holding the plus key or minus key down, you
can quickly locate any date in the recent past or near future.
Other types of fields have special features too. For
example, Quick-XL supports Autocomplete drop-down lists for Short Text, Number
and Multiple Choice columns, automatic insertion of formulas in Formula columns
and an optional Sequence No. column to keep your spreadsheet rows in
order.

But, Quick-XL does not stop there.
Quick-XL has specialized keys located adjoining the numeric keypad that
allow you to increment or decrement values or navigate between rows of your
spreadsheet, navigate between possibles values within an Autocomplete list,
Insert or update rows of your spreadsheet, modify Multiple Choice columns.
Quick-XL has specialized column types such as 'Long text' fields
that let you enter comments that take up more than one line (automatically
wrapping text where appropriate), an optional 'Sequence number' column
that allows you to keep your spreadsheet in numerical order automatically,
'Formula' columns that automatically insert a formula into a
particular column of each new row and more.
But Quick-XL does not stop there.
Quick-XL has the ability to have multiple views of the same spreadsheet. This
helps to reduce the busyness of the Data Entry Form by only showing the fields
you need to perform a given task.
Quick-XL also has extensive on-line help displays. They tell you about how
Quick-XL works in general and give you all of the features of each of the
various types of columns that Quick-XL supports. When you have learned the
features of Quick-XL well enough that you no longer need the 'Help' displays,
you can turn them off.
Quick-XL is so ergonomic that it is possible to make almost all
entries using just the numeric keypad and adjoining
keys (including text entries).
